Why is Rider Fitness / Conditioning Important?

Riding, at any level and in any discipline, requires you to have the appropriate strength, power, endurance and stamina, along with the range of motion (ROM) for the movements required.

Why? ……to ensure that your body is equipped to deal with the demands of the sport so not only can you perform, but you are at a lesser risk from injury and can enjoy riding more without all the aches and pains afterwards.

What are the RiderCise Signature Programmes?

The RiderCise Signature ‘Self-Managed’ Programmes are rider-specific workouts that are delivered straight to your mobile device for you to view and exercise on your own in the comfort of your own home.

How are the RiderCise Signature Programmes different from other rider fitness programmes?

The Signature programmes are different from other rider fitness programmes on the market because:

·         The workouts are simple.

·         They are cost-effective – £10per week for 6 weeks.

·         They are accessed via a mobile app, so you don’t have to spend time travelling to and from classes.

·         Each exercise has a detailed video explanation.

·         You don’t have to buy lots of equipment.

·         You can do them in the comfort of your home on your own schedule.

·         Each programme is scheduled in the mobile app calendar, so you know when to exercise and how much to do each time.

·         They focus on conditioning (enhancing and finessing) so can be done alone or alongside another exercise regime

How do I know how to perform the exercises in the RiderCise Signature Programmes?

Each exercise in every workout of the programme has its own detailed video and a text explanation so you know exactly how to perform each exercise correctly and safely.

How do I know when and how often to do the workouts in the RiderCise Signature Programmes?

All you need to do is open your calendar on the mobile app, and you will see that all of the workouts have been scheduled for you. If you are not able to exercise on the date scheduled, you can move the workout to suit your availability.

How long are the RiderCise Signature Programmes?

There are 3 Programmes, Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced, with each lasting 6 weeks.

What level should I start at?

I recommend everyone start at Foundation or Foundation Maintenance (if exercising regularly).

Foundation helps you develop body awareness, control and the correct engagement of muscles to perform movements. In order to ride better, with fewer aches and pains and more enjoyment, we need to learn to use the correct muscles within the correct movement patterns that our bodies are designed for.

What are the technology requirements?

Your mobile or tablet device software must be running on at least:

·         iOS 10

·         Android: 6.0
