“I first met Clare at RiderCise 2 years ago. I have spastic paraplegia and fell off a horse and broke my pelvis in 2 places, my back and my collar bone. I had surgery to fix my pelvis and back which meant metal plates and screws had to be put in.
I fully intended on getting back on board a horse but my mobility had deteriorated so much after my accident as I was unable to get around. I saw an ad for a taster session at my daughters former employers and asked if I could attend. Well it was the best thing I ever did.
With Clare’s help and my perseverance I went from using a Zimmer frame to back on crutches within a few weeks. Clare had adapted the exercises for me but still gave me as much support and encouragement as everyone else so I was able to get back on a horse almost a year after my fall. Then a year later I bought the pony I had lessons on. So I got back in touch with Clare and she has given me a programme just for me. It has made a huge difference to me and not just my riding. It is easy to follow and Clare is always there keeping me on track and accountable for it when I don’t stay on track. I would recommend this to anyone.”
